John Jacob Rabon IV, better known by his online name Alpharad, is an American YouTuber, esports personality, and musician. He is best known for his gaming videos along with his participation in the fighting game community as a tournament organizer. He is the lead singer and writer for his band Ace of Hearts. Jacob was born on December 19, 1995, in Norman, Oklahoma. He gained an interest in filmmaking around the fifth grade, uploading comedic videos with his friends. Later, he would take video editing and cinematography classes in high school. Jacob attended the University of Oklahoma while making YouTube videos as a full-time job. However, he later stated that he dropped out to fully focus on his rising YouTube career. His original goal was to be a writer, director, or editor of some kind, but soon learned that in being someone else's editor he couldn't have as much creative freedom as he could making his own content. As a musician, Jacob would frequently collaborate with his musical friends such as Adriana Figueroa, Johnny Manchild, FamilyJules, and Deanna Gowland when producing his music.

The visual album that Jacob produced for his first ever studio album is on of the main reasons why I adore him so much, not only is he a genuinely funny and entertaining guy but he never strives for the bare minimum and will always strive to do everything as best as possible which is why he never gives his audience poorly made content and will always be sure to deliver everytime. His videos almost always contain a form of a narrative structure that keeps the audience engaged and he builds his own suspense of what will happen next throughout the video regardless of what game he's playing in the video or what topic he's talking about which is why I've been a fan of him for years, the fact that he's musically talented as well makes me support him all the more.
